Job Purpose

The Social Media Manager will lead the planning, strategy, and goal setting of our social media campaigns and networks while building our brand identity, awareness, online reputation, engagement, and overall channel growth.
Community leadership and participation are integral to success while driving a positive brand image in an authentic way, turning fans into customers and customers into advocates.

The role will be responsible for content management, content calendars, publishing, channel analysis, new platform evaluation, social listening, and community engagement. The Social Media Manager should always be learning and up to date on social media best practices, changing algorithms, content and audience trends, and regulatory restrictions. They will be the voice of the consumer on social while also being a strategist that can roll up their sleeves and execute on the plan.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Handles day-to-day content publishing, deliverables, and edits (mix of text, graphics, photos, animations, sounds, unconventional use of emojis/Stickers and everything in-between)
  • Partner with stakeholders to execute social media campaigns across a variety of social networks.
  • Production and editing of video, audio, and images for social media use.
  • Develop long-term content plans leveraging podcasts, live social media channels, and other rich media opportunities.
  • Promote content on social networks and monitor engagement.
  • As the day-to-day point of contact for social media content, grow relationships with existing and new publishers, providers, and other major stakeholders. 
  • Collaborate and maintain close relationships with cross-functional teams to maximize reach of our efforts.
  • Proficiency in producing shareable and engaging social-first content, and real-time reactive video
  • Deep understanding of news and story lines, with sound journalistic ethics and judgment
  • Keep track of data and analyze the performance of social media campaigns.
  • Manage company image via social platforms in a cohesive way to achieve marketing goals
  • Measure web traffic to content.
  • Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor


Qualifications & Skills Required

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in social multimedia content production.
  • Proficiency in a variety of production tools and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Experienced and current user in social media tactics and strategies for brands, preferably B2B with a background in producing multimedia content.
  • Proven work experience as a content creator, copywriter, social media manager, or similar role.
  • Familiarity with SEO
  • Passionate about reaching new audiences, testing ideas, and creating engaging brand experiences Demonstrate strong creative instincts balanced with very solid strategic and analytical capabilities
  • Proven people management and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to work with and influence senior management
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills
  • Ability to adapt well to change in direction and priority in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity
