Territory Sales Executive - B2B

Job Purpose

The Territory Sales Executive is the expert for their defined geography, knowing all the intricacies of local trends and restrictions, and possessing an in-depth knowledge of the cannabis & accessories industry. 

The Territory Sales Executive (TSE) is to seek new accounts and to generate leads for new B2B business opportunities throughout Western Canada, focusing on British Columbia, and Alberta.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed territory goals, which include but are not limited to revenue, margin, product quotas, marketing campaigns, KPI objectives for the regions on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Be prepared to discuss and provide territory insight and strategic guidance on territory growth initiatives, and competitive analysis to business leadership.
  • Conduct phone and in-person sales calls.
  • Participate in account sales forecasting with Purchasing.
  • Open new accounts in our industry and innovative ‘white-space’ growth while actively maintaining the current book of business.
  • Provide in-depth consultation on brands, products, training, and business strategies for key accounts.
  • Foster relationships with current and prospective clients.
  • Manage and update the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database.
  • Ensure account profitability by maintaining margins.
  • Frequently travel to open new accounts, following up on leads, and manage existing customers (80% travel / 20% account management).
  • Other duties as assigned by manager or designee.

 

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Be a team player.
  • A four-year degree in sales, marketing, and business or related field is preferred.
  • 3+ years B2B outside sales experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills required with proven track records in achieving sales quotas, growing brand awareness, and exceeding KPIs.
  • Self-motivated and driven to succeed; ability to work independently.
  • Computer skills with a working knowledge of MS Office required.
  • Ability to follow-up effectively with attention to detail and extra emphasis on providing superior customer service.
  • Bilingual (French) verbal & written is an asset.
  • Proven sales experience and a track record of identifying and developing new opportunities.
  • Experience in the counterculture or Cannabis space, retail sales, pharmaceutical, alcohol, or tobacco industries is preferred.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Knowledge and passion for Greenlane products, the industry, wholesale/retail customers, and our consumers.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License, your own car, and possess automobile liability insurance with coverage limits of $100,000 bodily injury per person, $300,000 total bodily injury per accident, and $100,000 property damage per accident.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed while standing, sitting, and/or walking.
  • Ability to push, pull, or lift 20 lbs.
