Job Purpose

Maintain efficient operation across our operational teams, distribution centers (DC) and transportation network. Must support internal and external operations maximizing excellent customer fulfillment levels, on-time performance and supply chain efficiencies throughout our DC network.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of transportation, LTL, TL, domestic, international, HTS codes, compliance, monitoring and reporting throughout our network
  • Develop and direct the implementation of operational plans, projects and programs supporting internal and external distribution operations
  • Works with the VP of Operations to ensure operations and compliance for operational warehouse requirements, processes and procedures are being adhered too
  • Interact with executive team to provide support and planning with initiatives through financial and management information analyses
  • Manage all monthly KPI’s in terms of labor, product throughput, containers inbound/outbound relating to cost containment and benchmarked metrics
  • Provide leadership, communication and tools for each of our managers, leads and employees
  • Develop root cause analysis and corrective action processes and procedures
  • Oversee the management and coordination of all profitability reporting activities for the operation
  • Review and understand customer and import shipment requirements, lead times, forwarders, customs regulations, port of entry, drayage proper applicable rules, laws and of our product categories
  • Interact and communicate with each distribution center, Boca office purchasing, sales and logistics/operations team to maintain the best service levels possible specifically freight forwarders, LTL or parcel carriers
  • Develop strategic plans to enhance freight margin by leading the RFI, RFQ and RFP optimization review
  • Manage inventory daily, weekly, monthly cycle counts, reporting and preparing and executing the annual physical inventories at each of our warehouses
  • Improve and minimize inventory cycle count adjustments across the warehouse network
  • Other duties as assigned by manager or designee

Qualifications & Skills Required

  • Experience in the Retail, E-Com, CPG distribution channel, wholesale, b2b, b2c, retail (omni-channel) operations is preferred
  • 3PL experience is a plus
  • Experience with Transportation, LTL, TL, domestic and international imports, drayage, customs rules, HTS codes, invoicing and
  • Some accounting and systems background are preferred but not required. Preference given to candidates with an advanced degree
  • Must have a minimum of seven years in a Senior Manager/Director Operations position for a company with minimum of $300 million in annual revenue
  • Excellent time management and negotiation skills with heavy emphasis on both written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with the Sales and Operations Team is a must
  • Proven experience in managing remote teams, planning and execution
  • Foster and cultivate business opportunities and partnerships internally and externally
  • Experience with NetSuite, or another high-end ERP preferred
  • Contracting, negotiating, and change management
  • Finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles
  • Experience with various WMS, Shipping, TMS, and Rate Shopping systems
  • Supervising staff in a Multi-DC environment, including regular progress reviews and plans for improvement
  • MBA or master’s degree a plus
