Job purpose

The role of the Regional Director Western Canada ensures profitable growth in sales, revenue through planning, execution and management of a supportive team.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Responsible for western Canada P&L
  • Manage & build a sales team in order to maximize sales revenue and meet or exceed corporate-set goals
  • Assists sales personnel in their techniques
  • Develops specific plans to ensure growth both long and short-term
  • Evaluates supply chain and warehouse improvements
  • Reviews regional expenses and recommends improvements
  • Evaluates individual sales representatives’ performances
  • Reports on regional sales results
  • Identifies hiring needs, select and train new salespeople
  • Prepares and reviews the annual budget for the area of responsibility
  • Analyzes regional market trends and discover new opportunities for growth
  • Addresses potential problems and suggest prompt solutions
  • Other duties as assigned by manager or designee

Qualifications & Skills Required

  • BSc degree in Sales, Business Administration or relevant field
  • Proven work experience as a Regional Sales Manager, Area Manager or similar senior sales role
  • Ability to measure and analyze key performance indicators (ROI and KPIs)
  • Familiarity with CRM software, ideally Netsuite or Salesforce
  • Ability to lead and motivate a high-performance sales team
  • Strong organizational skills with a problem-solving attitude
  • Availability to travel as needed
  • Exceptional communication and negotiating skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask
  • Good management and delegation
  • Strong leadership skills
