General Manager

Greenlane, founded in 2005 is the leading distributor of premium brands in the burgeoning head shop, smoke shop, and dispensary channels. We devise bespoke go-to-market solutions as well as sales and marketing strategies for the best products in the industry and aid their manufacturers at every turn of the product life cycle. Job Purpose

The General Manager provides strategic and tactical leadership in the development and implementation of operational strategies and methods, which will maximize revenue and enhance shareholder value.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for a $50M+ revenue business budget
  • Direct oversight and management of all employees, including ongoing skill development
  • Develop market strategy and work in conjunction with Sales functions to grow overall revenue and gross profit
  • Working alongside Purchasing to ensure sufficient inventory levels of the proper assortment to meet existing and growing demand 
  • Evaluate all expenditures to ensure location maintains all controllable expenses within monthly and annual budget guideline
  • Achieve budgeted sales; oversee Sales Management to ensure targets are achieved
  • Develop and maintain existing and new customer/manufacturer relationships
  • Ensure solutions to challenges are implemented. Set, implement and complete goals.
  • Work closely with Corporate Executive team to ensure all procedures are properly carried out
  •  Perform all duties, functions, procedures necessary to ensure the financial and operational success of the business

Qualifications & Skills Required

  • Secondary education, preferably in Business, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Min 10 years’ experience in product sales and business operations management with a record of demonstrated achievements and leadership
  • Strong business planning skills and P&L management
  • National Accounts/Big Box experience a Plus
  • Analytically minded, strategic thinker
  • A strong work ethic, entrepreneurial mentality 
  • Working knowledge and proficiency of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Superb interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, self-motivated, self-starter, sense of urgency
  • Extensive problem-solving ability is required given the new industry and ever-changing regulations
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
  • Experience in working with and coordination of Purchasing, Sales, Marketing, and Operation
